Show This Thread

The Edit is back and my new podcast Show This Thread is out now!

Hello friend,

How has your week been? Mine has been a ride, let me tell you!

Yesterday I released the first episode of my new podcast Show This Thread. It features conversations with some of the best people on Twitter and my first guest is Adam Koszary who runs @TheMERL - an account for a farming museum in Reading which is now something of a global viral sensation. Have a listen to find out more and please subscribe if you like it.

Getting that out of the door has meant missing a few weeks of The Edit so sorry about that. Hopefully this selection of things to watch, read or listen to will make up for it!

Have a wonderful weekend,

Rob x

Years and Years: Russell T Davies’ starry dystopian drama seems to have divided opinion but I thought it was thrilling. Including a radio news bulletin from the day of broadcast was an inspired touch as was casting Emma Thompson as PM-in-waiting Viv Cook.

Carly Rae Jepsen: Pigeonholed as the underdog of pop, Jeppo returns with her fourth studio album Dedicated which, three full listens in, delivers on all my hopes and dreams.

Future Twitter: Not only is it the subject of my new podcast **puts shoehorn away** it’s also the subject of this BuzzFeed News feature by Nicole Nguyen on the future of the platform. A lot of interesting stuff in here which suggests Twitter really is committing to solving some of the problems with the platform.

easyJet: Inside The Cockpit: Airport/airline documentaries are ten a penny but this one is a little different, offering a warts and all window into the characters and crises of Europe’s biggest airlines.

Radio Edit: The Playlist: 30 songs. A mixture of new music and current hits. Updated weekly by me. I’ll also regularly be adding themed playlists to my Spotify profile.
